This is quite popular however, so if it’s full or you would like to park for free, head up to the village hall, where you can park for free all day & all night. It’s an extra walk back to the village centre but at least you won’t have to worry about carrying spare change for a ticket machine. Next to the village hall is a large grassy area with a children’s playground. This is a great place to relax on those super sunny summer days while you let the kids let off some steam on the playing equipment. If you decide to park in the pay & display car park, you will be instantly greeted with a beautiful view of the River Bure and an Amercian style paddleboat, which offers tours of the river. This is a great way to see the area by water and you may even see some of the famous Norfolk Broads also.
If you start feeling peckish pay a visit to the Swan Inn, which serves delicious food throughout the day & into the evening. It also has an outside area where you can enjoy a drink while overlooking the water. If you take a stroll along Lower Street you will pass two more lovely pubs & a number of shops where you can pick up a souvenir from your trip to the beautiful Norfolk Broads.
